2017 Holiday Goofy Eachez Release

After a drought in the world of Vinylmation releases, a Holiday Goofy Eachez has been released today at the Walt Disney World Resort, ShopDisney.com and the Shop Disney Parks App. Goofy tangled in Christmas lights (pictured left) is the common figure with a ratio of 9 out of 10 figures while the variant is a regular holiday Goofy (pictured right) with 1 in 10 odds of being in the blind box. Each figure retails at $14.99.

I'd Like to Hear From You! Vinylmation vs. Funko POP

You may have noticed, and I apologize, but content has been kinda lacking on this blog lately. We seem to have hit a dry spot in Vinylmation releases and I just don't know what to talk about anymore. There's no releases to share, no reviews to write, not many new additions to my collection. I still want to keep this blog going because I still love Vinylmation! But I don't know what you as my readers want to see. Are you losing interest?

I'm considering expanding what I blog about to include Disney related Funko POP figures in the hopes that I can keep bringing you new content each week, Vinylmation content if it's out there and if not maybe some articles about Funko can fill the void. However, I get the feeling some people are only here because they love Vinylmation, and they didn't jump on the Funko bandwagon. I know I wouldn't have bought a single Funko if Vinylmation were still what it was in 2011. I don't want you folks to give up on my blog if you feel it's too centered on the Funko line.

So, help me out! Let me know your thoughts. Do you want Funko articles? Do you not want Funko articles? Do you have a preference? Do you have any other ideas for new content you'd like to see? Take my poll and leave me a comment! I'd appreciate it!

Would you like Vinylmation Isle to include pictures and articles about Disney related Funko POP Vinyls as well as Disney Vinylmation?
Yes! I love Funko POP!
I'm not into Funko POP but I'd still read it
I would probably skip it, I'm not into Funko at all
No, I like this site because it focuses on Disney Vinylmation

Vinylmation Stories - Storybook Collection

Usually when I tell my Vinylmation Stories, I explain the deeper meaning behind why I chose to add a figure to my collection. There are so many thousands of figures out there (yes, thousands!) most people can't possibly own them all. I've always found it interesting therefore what makes collectors choose certain figures over others. But with this set, there's not really any link to a beloved Walt Disney World attraction, nor any sentimental connection between me and these vinyls like there is with most of my collection. So here's the slightly different story on why I bought this set.

Firstly, I love how everything about the Storybook Collection screams Disney vacation. Donald and Pluto look adorable and have true likeness to their characters, wearing their usual outfits - with a tourist twist. Pluto is wearing a Sorcerer Mickey hat which is a popular souvenir at Walt Disney World. Donald has a visor and is wearing a backpack, which has a water bottle painted on one side, and some Vinylmation peeking out of a pocket. He is ready for a day at the park and I love the level of detail there!

The two of these characters together made a really cute set and I could instantly picture them accompanying me on my travels around Walt Disney World. They are both so ready for vacation! When I bought the set and unboxed it, I fell even more in love. The paint job is amazing! The colors really pop and look so vibrant on both figures, and I already mentioned the incredible detail on Donald's backpack. Pluto's hat is secured and isn't removable, which is good for taking him places. Donald's visor is rubber and while that can't be removed either (which I'm fine with) that's a good choice because now I'm not afraid of that breaking in transit.

These two Vinylmation will be joining me at Walt Disney World next month so stay tuned for pictures!
