This article is a couple weeks old now, but I still think it's pretty funny. The Oh My Disney blog posted an article titled, "Things that would make Vinylmation fans cringe" and yes, these things do make me cringe!
Can you relate?
"There is no love like Vinylmation love. If you’re a fan of those cute little guys, it’s a very specific type of love, that might have a few “quirky” side effects. Assuming your Vinylmation love is real, this list probably speaks volumes to you.
There’s nothing worse than an unorganized Vinylmation collection...
Why is there a UCLA Vinylmation next to an Animation Series next to a Cast Member exclusive? There is no rhyme or reason to that. What’s going on?!
Oh look, an unopened Vinylmation box:
Why isn’t it opened? Is someone saving this for later? Why on earth would they do that?! This is terrible.
Don’t have enough room for your Vinylmation collection?
Putting them in the drawer is probably the worst thing you could do. How will they breathe?
Doubles? Doubles of this guy? Great, just great.
Wow, nice Vinylmation collection that is better than ours...
We’re not at all jealous. Not even a little bit.
When you order a Vinylmation online and don’t realize it’s one of those tiny ones...
Not that there’s anything wrong with those, but you expected the full size one!
When one of your favorite Vinylmation loses its accessory...
The accessory-wielding Vinylmations are the best… until they lose their accessories.
When someone doesn’t understand your love of Vinylmations. Don’t worry, you won’t find any of that here"
You won't find any of that here at Vinylmation Isle either! Thankfully, accidentally buying a Jr. has never happened to me and none of my vinyls (knock on wood) have ever lost their accessories either.
To me, this vinyl is the perfect representation of the original Test Track attraction. I just love the back especially! I think of the crash test dummies, the signage around the attraction, the queue, the stickers on the cars - everything. It's great to see that thought and accurate detail is on the back as well as the front of this vinyl
Signs on the feet and arms of the vinyl
Circle stickers from the car are on the vinyl's ears and back
The figure itself reminds me of these crash test dummies
The Jungle Book Vinylmation series has been released today at Disney Stores and The Disney Store Online in honor of the Disney movie's Blu-ray release. This is an 8 figure set with a surprise new addition - 4 Jr figures. The Jungle Book is a blind box series designed by Enrique Pita, Gerald Mendez and Marvin Lao. Each blind box retails for $12.95
On an unrelated side note - this was Vinylmation Isle's 200th post! Thanks for reading!
I was a huge fan of the Downtown Disney attraction The Adventurers Club. I could get on my soap box and rant about how its closure is possibly the biggest mistake Disney has ever made, but I won't. Instead I'll say that I can still remember how much fun I had, all the characters names, all the times they interacted with me and my friends and family, all the jokes they made, I can remember every room in the Club and I can still recite the Adventurers' Creed and sing you the Adventurers Club song - lead by the one and only Colonel Critchlow Suchbench.
The Adventurers Club
When I discovered that our beloved Club leader had been immortalized in Vinylmation form, I had to have him. Not only did the vinyl encompass my fond memories, but the figure itself was a wonderful and accurate representation of one of my favorite Adventurers Club characters. I'm glad Adrianne Draude didn't forget about the Colonel. Great idea for a Park Series vinyl!
